Sine Koethe McMurry

Sine Koethe McMurry, 101, of Henrietta, Texas passed away on Monday, February 4, 2013.

Graveside services will be at 2:00PM, Wednesday, February 6, 2013 in the Hope Cemetery in Henrietta, Texas with Dan Webb and Jay Poling, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis Funeral Home in Henrietta, Texas.

Mrs. McMurry was born on August 14, 1911 in Henrietta, Texas to Walter Arthur and Mayme (McCluer) Koethe. She married Carl D. McMurry on June 3, 1945 in Henrietta, Texas. Mrs. McMurry worked at Bears Hardware in Henrietta and was a caregiver to Kirk Edwards and Mrs. W.H. Howard. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Henrietta and a fifty year member of the Eastern Star. Mrs. McMurry served on the board of directors for the Senior Citizen Center and was a Dutchess in 1988 on the Pioneer Queen float during the Clay County Pioneer Reunion and Rodeo.

Mrs. McMurry was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Carl D. McMurry, one son Jimmy Christian, two brothers James McCluer Koethe and John Louis Koethe.

Survivors include two nieces, Judy Koethe Webb and husband Dan of Joy, Texas and Becky Walla of Austin, Texas; several great nieces and nephews; special friend Catherine Padaklandla.

Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church in Henrietta at PO Box 63, Henrietta, Texas 76365 or Hospice of Wichita Falls at PO Box 4804, Wichita Falls, Texas 76308.

We would like to extend a special thank you to the Henrietta Care Center for the ten years of wonderful care given Sine.
