William Gerard “Bill” Schenk, II, 52, of Henrietta, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 in Henrietta.

Funeral services will be at 10:00AM, Saturday, February 16, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church in Henrietta, Texas with Rev. Chris Dowd, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Hurnville Cemetery under the direction of Davis Funeral Home in Henrietta, Texas.

Mr. Schenk was born on February 13, 1961 at the US Air Force Base in Tachikawa, Japan to William Gerard and Sue (McKinstry) Schenk I. He served his country in the US Air Force and married Pam Blanscet on January 13, 1988 at Shepherd Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, Texas. He was a Licensed Aircraft Mechanic at Shepherd Air Force Base in Wichita Falls where he worked as the Crew Chief Instructor on the B52 planes. Mr. Schenk then worked for Four Star Auto Ranch for nine years in the service department where he received several National Awards through Chevrolet. He was employed by Edwards Consulting Agency in Charlotte, North Carolina where he consulted for fixed base operations on the Eastern Seaboard and nationwide as well. Mr. Schenk loved the space program. He knew every plane from end to end and even taught at VRJC Tech School where he created his own Electrical Aircraft Program to help his students achieve and succeed. He was presently the owner and operator of ReBoot Computers in Henrietta where he worked as a computer technician.

Mr. Schenk was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife Pam Schenk of Henrietta, Texas; two brothers, Bobby Schenk and wife Sherry of Coco, Florida and Rusty Schenk of Indian Springs, Alabama; one sister, Susan Schenk Bowen of Nashville, Tennessee; one aunt Joan McKinstry of Cleveland Heights, Ohio; nephew and niece Robert and Brittany Schenk; seven nieces and nephews, Dusti, Katie Jo, Lizzie, Chase, Cody, Patrick, Shane; one great-niece Aly and four great-nephews Brendan, Kobe, Owen and Les.

Memorials may be sent to the First United Methodist Church in Henrietta at PO Box 63, Henrietta, Texas 76365.

The family will be at Davis Funeral Home on Friday evening from 7:00PM-8:30PM.
